Pestana Alto Golf & Country Club

The Pestana Alto Golf and Country Club is located close to the city of Portimão and the charming fishermen’s village of Alvor. It was the last course designed by Sir Henry Cotton and presents a par 5 on the sixteenth which is known as the “Sir Henry Challenge”, being one of the longest holes in Europe.

An occasional glimpse at the Atlantic, along with strategically placed bunkers, elevated greens, and well-positioned trees, make the Alto Golf a truly satisfying course for players of all levels of expertise.

Cancellation Policy
Bookings may be canceled without any penalty if cancelation is made as below. Otherwise, the green-fees will be charged in full.
Up to 4 players – minimum of 48 hours in advance
5 to 16 players – minimum 8 days in advance
More than 16 players – minimum 21 days in advance.

Dress Code & Local Rules
Golfers must respect the course rules and the dress code onsite. Please note that he following items are not allowed:
Swimwear, undershirts, t-shirts, denim jeans, tennis shoes and golf shoes with metal pins.
